Washes horribly!!!

Knit a baby blanket with this yarn. Gorgeous & soft, but after I washed it as per the washing instructions (on delicate cycle)... it pulled in all directions, looked snaggy, mishapen. I spent 2 hours trying to reshape it and it was horrible. Looks horrible now. The worst part is I have enough yarn for 2 more like this... BOO!
