The yarn separates so makes it easy to pick up an extra thread. Don’t think that’s supposed to happen.

Great yarn for many projects
I have used Super Saver yarn for many afghans and the yarn holds up well after years of use and many washings. It is actually fairly soft and makes for nice afghans and scarfs.
