Great Yarn!
I have used Super Saver yarn for many afghans and the yarn holds up well after years of use and many washings. It is actually fairly soft and makes for nice afghans

Okay
The colour is rich and lovely, but the yarn feels a bit stiff to the touch. I don't find it scratchy, but certainly not soft either. It is perfect for the crafter on a budget. And I love that it is machine washable and dryable.
