Blah colour, very soft, consistent gauge
I couldn't believe this was real wool its so soft. The gauge is very uniform and makes textures such as cables show up very well. I purchased the wool to make an Icelandic sweater and it looked awful - the yoke pulled together because the stitches slip over each other due to the smoothness of the wool. Any inconsistent tension showed up like a glaring mistake. I unravelled the sweater and knitted up a straight stocking stitch sweater - that too showed every slightly loose stitch as a glaring mistake, so I unravelled that sweater. Now I'm knitting a baby sweater with cables in white and have no use for this brown skein which is flat and uninteresting and why I gave this only 3 stars. The baby sweater is working out well with clearly defined cables using white. Not sure what to do with this skein now.
