Yarn
The Blue Stripe Ragg Kroy Socks Yarn I purchased is knitting up well and is ideal for my purposes. I was disappointment, however, when the yarn arrived and I found the colours to be much more dull and muted than the photo shows. This is the difficulty, of course, of purchasing online because too often the colours are not true on my monitor.

Love the colours of this striped wool.
I have tried lots of self striping yarn. I made several pairs with this colour way and people that saw them wanted a pair. I have yet to make a pair for myself because I gave the ones I made so far away. :) Kroy sock yarn blocks very nicely too I find.

Thinner yarn
I just ordered several sets of Kroy sock yarn. This one is noticeably thinner. Which led me to weigh the yarn: it is 2 or 3 grams short of the 50 g per ball shown. Don't get me wrong, I am a fan of Kroy sock yarn: knits up well, washes well and wear like iron. But this colour is thinner than the others.

Couldn’t make matching socks
There was a place in the yarn where there was a knot. The join made it impossible to make a matching pair. This pair was to be a gift, so it was very disappointing. Other than that, the yarn is nice to work with.

This vendor was really prompt in answering my questions and resolving a challenge that I encountered! On the topic of the yarn - it's lovely (with an old school feel) with a really fun stripe. The yardage was short (which I've read is not uncommon with this brand) by up to 6g in a 50g ball, which wasn't pleasing, but I had enough to complete the socks. Would order from yarncanada again!
