Great Basic Medium Weight Yarn
Heartland has become my "go to" yarn for scarves, toques, beanies and other fashion accessories. It comes in a beautiful range of subtly heathered colours, and matches the gauge of "Redheart Soft" perfectly if you wish to mix solids and heathers. Like all acrylics, it cannot be steam-blocked, so its best use is for circular knitting or with stitches that don't curl at the edges such as the "seed stitch rib". Yarn Canada carries a much wider range of Heartland colours than Michaels, and their prices are very competitive.
