Works Up Beautifully!
I purchased this yarn in three colours: yellow, white and grey to crochet a baby afghan. I originally purchased it to do a granny square baby blanket but after using this same yarn (in different colours) even though it was the right weight (4) it didn't hold up as well in a granny square as well as Vanna White's Baby. So I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for granny squares but I ended up making a Ripple Baby blanket in the grey, yellow and white and it turned out beautifully. Perfect weight and the yarn is so soft! It worked up really well, no splitting. My only complaint is that in one ball it was knotted twice and the yarn had frayed in two spots so I ended up having to rip out (frog) three rows and had to cut out the bad spots in the yarn out and start over because I didn't want any chance it would break or come apart. But other than that I would highly recommend it for your next baby project!

Soft Baby Steps Yarn for a Knitted Baby Afghan
I bought 3 colours of the Soft Baby Steps yarn by Red Heart to knit a baby afghan for my newest grandson - yellow, white and elephant grey. It knits up beautifully soft and the perfect weight (4) for a baby. I was pleased to find the exact colours I wanted to match the nursery at YarnCanada.ca as I had been searching local stores for the right colours, softness and weight for a few months without success. I would give this yarn a 5 star rating.
