Started 50 years ago and located in Boulder, Colorado, Schacht brings you beautiful, well crafted tools for weaving and spinning. Their unique factory sits on 3 acres and includes lush gardens as well as a small flock of chickens. Schacht is known for quality and craftsmanship with lots of hand-sanding - for example, just one boat shuttle requires 7 steps.
The company has grown to 46 employees and their mantra is “constant improvement” with a big focus on sustainability. They focus heavily on reducing environmental impact and limiting what goes to the landfill by selling sawdust to horse farms or sending it for composting. We carry 2 of their most popular products, the Cricket Loom and Zoom Loom.
