Started in 1968, Manos Del Uruguay is a non-profit organization that creates jobs for women living in rural areas of Uruguay. The company is committed to creating social and economic opportunities as well as fair trade and in 2009 was accepted into the World Fair Trade Organization. All Manos Del Uruguay yarns are hand-dyed, resulting in beautiful, rich, unique tones and shades you cannot find in any other yarn. Two of their most popular yarns are Manos Alegria and Manos Fino.
