A family run company in the U.S., Brown Sheep has been manufacturing hand knitting yarns since the 1980’s. Started as a farming company back in the 40’s, the land the company sits on was purchased over 100 years ago by the owners great grandfather. In 2010 the owners, a husband and wife team, put Brown Sheep on the map in a new way by creating a program that allowed the company to go green and reuse 70% to 90% of their daily waste water.
